Bear Necessity Cruise Staff:
Capt Scott Lazarowicz and his very talented and artistic wife Sharon will be your host's for the week and make sure you have a trip of a lifetime. After spending the past 4 years guiding in Katmai and running wilderness raft trips, bear photography clinics and working at Alaska Adventures main lodge as a wildlife viewing and fishing Guide running Jet Boats on the Alagnak River.
Scott was promoted up to full time captain in August of 08 aboard the Bear Necessity. After an extensive safety training regimen and apprentiship with Capt Charlie Summerville a 23 year veteran guide and Boat Captain in Katmai Park Scott has taken over the helm and is doing a great job. Capt Scott has a very strong knowledge and workings of the complex engines and multiple electrical systems due to him being an electrical contractor and master electrician along with growing up on a farm in wyoming working on equipment since he was a young man in between fly fishing adventures through out the west fishing in Montana-Wyoming and Colorado about a 100 days a year before coming to guide in Alaska.
Capt Scott is well known in the photography circles around Colorado as he has entered many of his Wildlife photos taken in Alaska and won numerous awards for his outstanding Brown Bear, Fox and Eagle pictures in taken in Katmai National Park.
Sharon Lazarowicz : is a very successful free lance water color Artist specializing in Outdoor water scenery and Mountains. While also being a fabulous chef aboard the Bear Necessity. Sharon has has sold many of her paintings from Alaska along with her work in Colorado. Sharon is also quite an Amateur Photographer while incorporating her artistic eye into her pictures and Paintings.
Katmai Wildlife Cruises employs several other top Bear viewing and fishing guides full time as they rotate in and out depending on each groups individual needs and wants Including Capt-Patrick Mcintyre Capt Justin Bleicher-Capt Charles Summerville.
